How to access Thriving Kids in Victoria

Access arrangements are still being finalised. Here is what is confirmed, what is not, and practical steps Victorian families can take now.

What is confirmed

A staged Victorian rollout is expected from October 2026, delivered through mainstream and community settings, with the NDIS continuing for higher support needs.

What is still being finalised

Referral pathways, eligibility detail, which services will deliver supports, and how families will be connected locally in each Victorian area.

Where to check officially

Victorian Government and Australian Government program pages remain the source of truth. We follow them regularly and date-stamp our summaries.

What you can do now

You do not need to wait to look for support.

  • Talk with your GP, paediatrician or maternal and child health nurse
  • Raise concerns with your kinder or school
  • Search independent providers and ask about wait times
